Description & Context

The Electronics & Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) Policy 2016, launched alongside the ICT Policy at HICC, anchors Telangana's electronics ambitions in two Electronic Manufacturing Clusters—e-City Raviryal (602 acres) and Maheshwaram Science Park (310 acres). Incentive applications are processed through the Consultative Committee on ESDM (CCESDM), an empowered industry-inclusive committee that scrutinises applications through a sub-committee headed by the Secretary ITE&C. TS-iPASS provides statutory single-window clearances with deemed approval within 4 weeks. By 2024, the policy has attracted over $4.85 billion from 250+ companies—surpassing its $3 billion investment target—while employment and EMC targets remain in progress with a third EMC planned at Vikarabad.
